I’m Jayne, the heart and soul behind Angel Cakes, where we are celebrated for our scrumptious home-baked delights, exceptional ingredients, and an fun approach to wedding cake design. My baking journey began in the quaint kitchen of my Nan’s London apartment when I was around 7 years old.

I was mesmerized by the way she effortlessly created the most divine Chocolate Choux buns that simply melted in your mouth – a weekly ritual that sparked my culinary curiosity. Both my Nan and Mum were connoisseurs of the traditional fruit cake, igniting my lifelong pursuit of crafting the perfect sponge in a variety of irresistible flavours.

My foray into cake design truly blossomed when I had children of my own, inspiring me to delve into the world of novelty cakes – a journey that started 27 years ago and has been filled with love, laughter and a few tears along the way!

At Angel Cakes, I pride myself on offering an extensive selection of cake flavours, ensuring we have something special for everyone, including those with specific dietary requirements. Our bespoke consultation service, available at your home or venue, emphasises our dedication to providing a tailored experience, focusing on convenience and exceptional taste.

My deep-seated passion for weddings and the joy of assisting couples in bringing their dream cake to life led me to refine and perfect our flavour offerings. Embracing innovation, I transitioned from the classic fruit cake to more exotic creations like Lime & Passionfruit sponge. The ultimate reward is witnessing the sheer joy and anticipation on my couples’ faces, knowing their vision will be realized and their guests amazed by a stunning, flavour-packed centrepiece. This is the essence of what makes my work at Angel Cakes not just a profession, but a true calling.

My passion lies in building strong connections with each of my couples, ensuring a delightful and seamless experience as we craft the wedding cake of their dreams. Consider the journey I embarked on with Sian & Ali, set against the backdrop of the stunning and grandiose Elvetham Hotel, known for its majestic stairwell where wedding cakes become a centrepiece.

The vastness of the space called for something extraordinary – a cake that would not be overshadowed but instead enhance the elegance of its surroundings. Together, we embarked on a meticulous design process, dedicating ourselves to creating a masterpiece that would not only meet but exceed their expectations. We designed a magnificent six-tier cake, featuring unique flavours that resonated with their tastes and the essence of their celebration. This project was a testament to our commitment and creativity, resulting in a cake that captivated not only Sian and Ali but also their guests and the venue staff. It was a true testament to what can be achieved when passion meets partnership.

My approachable method has resulted in me being part of hundreds of weddings and events over the past decade alone. Becoming a Recommended Supplier to many of the area’s top wedding venues has been the icing on the cake! Venues including Old Thorns, Lythe Hill, Marwell Hotel, Audleys Wood and The Queens Hotel to name just a few.
